When you are in need of orthopedic care, look no further than NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital's Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department. We have a highly skilled staff of specialists and surgeons dedicated to providing quality care in an ideal community setting. Our physicians have years of experience and training from the finest medical institutions in the United States. Collectively, the orthopedic staff has performed more than 12,000 surgical procedures at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence.
Orthopedic specialists at Lawrence treat problems related to the muscles, bones or joints. Most orthopedic conditions result from disease or injury to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. The severity of these conditions can vary and range from joint pain, sports injuries, osteoporosis, and foot and ankle problems. Depending on the condition, our orthopedic specialists will assess and treat the problem and determine if surgery is needed.
Our doctors perform reconstructive, hand, back and pediatric surgeries, along with a variety of ambulatory and in-patient procedures. In the event of an emergency, our experienced staff of board-certified Emergency Department physicians can assess and treat any injury and refer patients who need additional care.
In collaboration with ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice of Columbia University, the sports medicine professionals at NYP/Lawrence provide injured athletes with the highest quality care close to home. In addition to treating adult athletes and weekend warriors, our program works closely with local high school and college athletic programs to treat their athletes so they can return to playing the sports they love.
