NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital offers a wide variety of cardiology services available on an outpatient and inpatient basis. From minimally invasive cardiac procedures to diagnostic testing, our physicians and clinical staff provide patients with accurate and timely results using the latest in state-of-the-art technologies.
The NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Lawrence performs emergency and elective angioplasty, as well as minimally invasive procudures to visualize the arteries of the heart, check blood flow and pressure, and evalute the efficiency of heart valves. The Cardiac Cath Lab is staffed by Interventional Cardiologists and Electrophysiologist of ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice of Columbia University, and is one of the few centers in Westchester and the lower Hudson Valley licensed to perform emergency cardiac angioplasty.
We offer the following services in a convenient and medically supervised setting:
- Stress Echocardiogram
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
- Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)
- Stress Test
- Holter Monitoring
- EEG (electroencephalogram)
- Non-Invasive Arterial Doppler Studies
As evidence of its forward thinking program, NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence has one of the only multi-disciplinary Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs in Southern Westchester County. The department provides a structured and supportive environment in which men and women who have experienced cardiac and pulmonary illnesses can recover their strength and achieve a sense of well being.
Lawrence's Cardiology Program includes an accredited Echocardiography Laboratory by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiographic Laboratories.
